Local Estate Agent Beats Major Online Competitor at Its Own Game

A major online estate agent had the online market cornered by taking the top keywords in Google Ads and paying far above what they needed to pay to grab the traffic.

However, first, they missed a keyword which we got for just over £1.00. Then we looked at a collection of 50 lower order keywords. Collectively, these brought in as much traffic as the third and fourth best ranked keywords - but our clients client paid just 10 pence per click for this traffic.

How a single word transformed the performance of an ad campaign

Our clients client was getting significant traffic from their Google Ads and Facebook advertising campaigns. However, the conversion rate was, to say the least, disappointing.

The end client is an installer of air source and ground source heat pumps.

Some research soon discovered what the  problem was. People were clicking through on the ads simply to find out more about heat pumps and the grants associated with them.

We recommended that the wording of the ads be changed to include the word "installation" or variants of it. we also recommended changes to the website to engage with information seekers that still clicked through.

The result, fewer clicks, therefore lower costs, but much more business done.

Our clients client was a funeral plan seller looking for business leads from Facebook

This clients, client wanted to advertise on Facebook to generate leads for the sale of funeral plans. They had no idea who, which demographic, to direct the ads towards.

Our research quickly determined that it was mainly women, over the age of 50, who initiated purchases of funeral plans. We also found that the most successful "pitch" was for not putting the burden of funeral costs onto their kids. We also found that the images that brought the best responses were of smiling older couples playing with grandchildren.
